Joseph’s Storehouse Food Ministry Founder Bro. Bob Evans expressed his appreciation to the Goody’s of Lebanon employees for their participation in the upcoming Wilson County 2014 Fall Food Drive which is being held from Sept. 12-Oct. 12.

He said, “The good folks at Goody’s are doing us a great favor by spearheading our annual fundraiser. I would like to encourage everyone to go by their location on West Main Street across from Kroger, shop in their store and make a generous donation at the checkout counter. In my opinion, there’s no better way to do the Lord’s work than to help those who are less fortunate. As Jesus said in Matthew 25, ‘If you have done it unto the least of these, you have done it unto Me’.”

He continued, “We would also like to invite anyone in Wilson County who is in need of food to join us for our monthly giveaway which will be held tomorrow morning, Saturday, Aug. 30 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. We have a lot of great summer produce which has been donated to us and we want to pass along this wonderful blessing to others included with a large portion of other great things to eat.”

First-time applicants to Joseph’s Storehouse are welcome to apply for assistance but they must be able to prove residency in Wilson County with two forms of official documentation (such as a Social Security card; USDA ID; Tennessee driver’s license; or other U.S. or Tennessee government ID card). They must also show proof of income (such as a paystub or bank statement) and a utility bill showing their current address. Upon approval, recipients will receive an ID card which will be valid for six months.

Volunteers are also needed and encouraged to help and they should arrive between 8 and 8:15 a.m. If groups of more than six are planning to attend, they must call the office at 615-453-5777 or register on the ministry’s website in order to participate so that everyone will have something to do.

Donations can be mailed to Joseph’s Storehouse Food Ministry at 1960 S.E. Tater Peeler Rd., Lebanon, TN 37090. For more information, visit loaejosephsstorehouse.org.
