A Lebanon woman remained in serious condition Sunday afternoon after she was ejected from her vehicle on Interstate 40.
According to a report from Lebanon Traffic Officer Robert Bates, the single-vehicle wreck happened just before 12:15 p.m. between the 238 and 239 mile markers.
Bates said in his report a Chevrolet Trail Blazer, driven by Laura C. Gray, of Lebanon, was traveling in the inside lane and abruptly turned right. He said the vehicle hit an embankment, which caused Gray to be ejected through the windshield.
Bates said paramedics took Gray by ambulance to the Lebanon Municipal Airport, where she was taken by LifeFlight helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. A hospital spokesperson said Gray was listed in serious condition Sunday afternoon.
