A Lebanon man was killed Monday night in a wreck on Hunters Point Pike in Lebanon.
Lebanon police Chief Scott Bowen said officers worked the scene of the fatal crash around 9:30 p.m. on Hunter’s Point Pike at N. Hartmann Drive.
Bowen said Harold Dee Jones, 47, of Lebanon, was killed when he was unable to stop his 1984 Chevrolet pickup in time and rear-ended a Freightliner truck cab driven by Aldiva Angel, of Crossville.
Bowen said police believe Angel was traveling northbound on Hunters Point Pike and was stopped for the traffic signal at N. Hartmann Drive. Police also believe Jones was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Bowen said Lebanon Traffic Crash Reconstructionist Robert Bates is in charge of the investigation.
Bowen said members of the Lebanon Police Chaplain Unit met with Jones’ family Tuesday.
