Country star Tracy Lawrence’s new album, Headlights, Taillights and Radios, released Tuesday entered the iTunes Top Country Albums chart at No. 9.
Headlights, Taillights and Radios is Lawrence’s 13th studio album and has already gained praise from the media calling it the “album of his career.”
Wilson County’s Lawrence admits he challenged himself to create something special for this new album. He told country music lifestyle site The Boot, “When recording the new album, it was a very different process than I had ever done before. We ended up recording the album in two parts; that’s just how it worked out. I started recording in the direction to make a more traditional county record. But as time progressed, I needed to explore and challenge myself musically. I wanted to go deeper and try a more edgy and progressive sound that reflected where I was going next.”
In addition to his multiple online appearances during release week, Lawrence will share his new music with Spotify users and answer questions in a special Spotify “Sounddrop” event on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
“Sounddrop” on Spotify is social jukebox app that allows fans to discover new music and interact with other users all over the world.
