Local pop star needs votes to win competition

Tristan McIntosh, a 13-year-old musician from Clarksville, got a top-10 spot in the Kidz Star USA semifinals, but she needs help to win.

Tristan McIntosh, a 13-year-old musician from Clarksville, got a top-10 spot in the Kidz Star USA semifinals, but she needs help to win.

McIntosh, a straight-A eighth-grade student at Goodpasture High School, has already won 107.5's Clarksville's Got Talent competition and Clarksville's Aspire to Stardom. She has also been a standby for America's Got Talent and made it to the second round on the X Factor.

McIntosh also performed recently at Glitz and Glamour Salon in Lebanon and is getting help from those close to Lebanon pop sensation Coco Jones.

Voters can help her win the Kidz Bop competition by going to tristanlive.com and clicking the Kidz Star USA vote button. She is listed as the semifinalist MCIN2847.

If she wins, she will have the opportunity to sing for for Kidz Bop, a company that produces kid-friendly versions of hit songs. These songs are often played on Nickelodeon and Disney channels and are sold as collaborative CDs.

Voting for the Kidz Star competition is open until Tuesday at noon.
