MURFREESBORO – Get ready for fun, food, music and motivation as the third annual Murfreesboro Reach, Instruct, Serve and Empower community festival and symposium will take place Sept. 4-6 at Patterson Park.

This year’s theme is “Elevating the Family.” The resource fair and symposium is a family event designed for individuals and families of all stages of life. Attendance is free and open to the public.

Organized by concerned and engaged residents and sponsored by FBC ALL R.I.S.E. and Patterson Park, Murfreesboro R.I.S.E. was created to address societal issues that affect the family, educate community members and to promote holistic living. More than 30 local agencies and organizations will take part in the resource fair and symposium. Attendees can enjoy a festive atmosphere with free breakfast and lunch, music, games, utilize Patterson Park facilities, participate in hundreds of giveaways from local merchants and attend any of 16 empowerment sessions on an array of topics, including: improving family finances, paying for college, eating healthy, single-parenting and strengthening marriages.
