Lebanon resident Derek Dodson filed separate ethics complaints last week with the Wilson County Ethics Committee against Wilson County Mayor Randall Hutto and 17 county commissioners.

According to Ethics Committee Chair Frank Bush, Dodson filed a third complaint Monday, but Bush wouldn’t reveal the person or persons named.

Bush also would not reveal the nature or contents of any of the three complaints filed or the names of the commissioners listed.

Bush said the Ethics Committee would likely meet early next week to consider whether to take up the complaints or dismiss any or all of them.

“We have received the ethics complaints, and they will be officially considered at our next Ethics Committee meeting with the date to be determined,” Bush said. “Our first order of business, without discussion, will be to vote on whether the complaints have any merit. If they don’t, we will adjourn.”

Hutto said he received a copy of the complaint filed against him, but he didn’t want to comment on it until the Ethics Committee ruled on whether it had merit.

Mr. Dodson, you shall see that the "Ethics Committee" is a joke, but that's not to say to give up either.

(Hint), start with public records request on all of the "behind" closed doors meetings with developers and, out of town expenses from elected and non elected officials as one request will lead to another, also, check out your local CDBG, (Community Block Development Grants) you will be shocked as to what your county and cities (so called) "leaders" are doing to the taxpayers.
