The Wilson County Board of Education will tackle several items at its Tuesday meeting.

There will be a second reading for a board policy regarding criminal records checks for all applicants for employment with the school system. Director of Schools Donna Wright said the school system wants to be sure they thoroughly screen all potential employees.

“We will conduct a local, state and federal background check on all potential employees,” she said.

A first reading for a change to the grading system policy will also take place Tuesday. Wright said this change is necessary to accommodate for the change to seven-period schedule for 2014-15.

There will also be a small change to the 2014-15 school calendar. Wright said this was merely a housekeeping item. Staff noticed that the calendar only accounted for 199 days, and the calendar submitted to the state for approval must include 200.

The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the Central Office on Stumpy Lane.

I think every school, organization should use the background check services. because by the help of this we can know about the every employee, student about their background. We should check criminal background also.
Ciiworldwide.com is the company who offers these services.
