Clearing is expected Tuesday as clouds begin to give way to allow for mostly sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service.

The high Tuesday afternoon will be near 33 degrees with north-northwest winds at 5 mph-10 mph. A 20-percent chance of snow returns to the forecast after midnight. Otherwise, skies will be mostly cloudy with a low around 22 degrees and north wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

A 40-percent chance of sleet and snow is expected Wednesday morning with mostly cloudy skies and a high near 40 degrees.
