Mt. Juliet-native band Kings of Leon announced Thursday its headlining tour dates for February through March that include a stop in nearby Nashville where the band formed.
The North American "Mechanical Bull" tour begins Feb. 5 in Atlanta and ends March 8 in Chicago. Kings of Leon’s second stop on the tour will be the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
During the Kings of Leon's 2014 "Mechanical Bull" tour the band will perform 16 headlining concerts around the U.S. and Canada in more than a month-long time span. The band will be touring in support of its sixth studio album, "Mechanical Bull." The album was released on Sept. 24 and it reached No. 2 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart.
This will be the first leg of its 2014 "Mechanical Bull" tour, and more dates will be announced later. Tickets go on the sale to the general public beginning Nov. 1-2.
Singer and guitarist Gary Clark Jr. will open all concerts on the leg of the tour. For more information about the Kings of Leon's early 2014 headlining tour, visit kingsofleon.com.
