Tennessee Highway Patrol Nashville District Capt. Brian Lawson will be a guest at Mt. Juliet’s Coffee with a Cop on Friday.

The sixth installment of Coffee with a Cop will be from 7-9 a.m. at Bar-B-Cutie at 2037 N. Mt. Juliet Road. Lawson, newly appointed to his position with THP, will be there to answer questions, along with Mt. Juliet officers and Chief James Hambrick.

“This is a great opportunity for our community to stop by and say hello, address concerns, exchange ideas, or ask questions,” said Hambrick. “We simply want to ensure that our community has the chance to connect with us face to face in a comfortable, non-threatening and super friendly environment. I hope to meet many new residents.”

The Coffee with a Cop program is a non-traditional way to generate conversation between the police department and community members. This event allows the public to interact with police officers, including Hambrick, in an informal setting to ask questions or address concerns with local law enforcement. Anyone is invited to stop by the Coffee with a Cop event to say hello and enjoy free coffee provided by Mt. Juliet’s Bar-B-Cutie.
