Firefighters battle second Mt. Juliet blaze (with video)

Mt. Juliet firefighters battled two home fires Sunday night and early Monday morning.

Mt. Juliet firefighters battled two home fires Sunday night and early Monday morning.

The second fire broke out just before 2 a.m. at a home on Ashmore Court at Willoughby Station. Wilson Emergency Management Agency firefighters assisted Mt. Juliet firefighters in battling the fully engulfed home.

Mt. Juliet firefighters responded to the first fire Sunday night at a home fire in the 2000 block of E. Division Street.

The fire broke out just before 10:30 p.m. According to firefighters, the fire was active and isolated to the home’s kitchen when firefighters arrived. With the help of Wilson Emergency Management Agency firefighters, the fire was put out without significant damage to the home. Damage was isolated to the kitchen and ceiling above the kitchen.

No injuries were reported.
