The Wilson County Board of Education will meet Sunday at 1 p.m. with attorney Mike Jennings in a “private” meeting at the Central Office.

The announcement was made Saturday at 11:30 a.m., with notice coming via email from board secretary Rose Ratagick.

It’s not known for certain what the board will discuss with Jennings, but the meeting likely stems from Director of Schools Tim Setterlund admitting he drove a county vehicle after drinking a beer. Willson County Commissioner Mike Justice questioned Setterlund about the incident in a Budget Committee meeting Thursday apparently after a group approached him asking him to check on it.

The Central Office is at 351 Stumpy Lane in Lebanon.

This goes to show that this director does not belong here. He can't be trusted to make the best decisions. The drinking and driving proves this point. So how is it that we trust him with our kids. Like the new high school schedule. The 4 class a semester block scheduling should stay. Not 7 classes a year. And taking away honors classes and giving only standard or AP. It seems to me that Dr. Sutherland has his own needs as his priority instead of our school district or children. Hopefully he will be booted and we will find someone who has a brain.
