Friendship Science Olympiad teams see success in Ohio

The Friendship Christian School Science Olympiad teams competed recently in a meet in Columbus, Ohio that featured 91 teams.

(Submitted to The Democrat) Nevin Crow and Katie-Scarlett Chastain receive bronze medals in a recent Science Olympiad competition in Columbus, Ohio for their wheeled vehicle.

 

The Friendship Christian School Science Olympiad teams competed recently in a meet in Columbus, Ohio that featured 91 teams. 

Students Nevin Crow and Katie-Scarlett Chastain were bronze medalists in the wheeled vehicle competition. 

Parker Smith, Crow and Hannah Cron finished sixth in experimental design. Chase Flicek and Kenzie Fletcher finished sixth in the rotor egg drop. Alex Pulliam and Katie Pulliam also finished sixth in anatomy and physiology. 

Braden Miller and Austin Garrett finished seventh in the boomilever. Alex Pulliam and Katie Pulliam finished seventh in disease detectives. 

Chris Roach and Ben Govan finished ninth in disease detectives. Daniel Lucas and Jagger Pirtle finished ninth in robo cross. Jared Luckas and Stacey Henderson finished ninth in bungee drop. 

The teams also competed in Saturday’s regional competition at Vol State Community College.
