The Lebanon Special School District Board of Education will discuss several items at its meeting Tuesday morning.

Among items up for consideration is entering into a contract with GCA Services Group for custodial services in the district. This item was scheduled for discussion at the May meeting, but board members voted to remove it from the agenda.

“GCA is the leading custodial service provider for [kindergarten through 12th-grade schools] in America,” Director of Schools Scott Benson said previously.

He said that if the system enters into contract, his hope is the current custodians would remain with the system.

“It’s our hope that everybody would still be with us…If they have a recommendation from their principal and pass a background check, they would be hired on by GCA and be on the same pay grade.”

Also on the agenda are approval of budget amendments for 2013-14; approval of a differentiated pay plan; approval of the federal programs budget for 2014-15; and approval of school fees from 2014-15 school year.

There will also be discussion on a revision to board policies regarding tobacco-free schools, approval of a resolution to adopt the Look Back Measure Safe Harbor under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and a request for bids for furniture for the addition at Winfree Bryant Middle School.
