Williams' brother inks with CU wrestling

Cumberland wrestling coach Todd Allen announced the signing of Rio Rancho, N.M., native Ladigo Williams this week to scholarship papers for the 2013-14 season.

Cumberland wrestling coach Todd Allen announced the signing of Rio Rancho, N.M., native Ladigo Williams this week to scholarship papers for the 2013-14 season.

He is the brother of current CU grappler Jake Williams.

Ladigo Williams lettered three years for coach Mike Santos at Rio Rancho High School, finishing second and fourth during his high school career at the state tournament. He is the son of Stan and Rosann Williams. Brother, Jake, was an All-American at Concordia [NE] University as a freshman and garnered All-American accolades again this past season for the Bulldogs.

Williams joins Stephen Jackson, Kendall Small, Coby Walker, Niko Kolgaklis, JohnMark Reddick, Dakota Bromley, Dalton Baysinger, Tom Gattinella, Justis Griffith, Corey Daniels, Nate Croley, Christian Varner, Jordan McCoy, Ross Brister and Kyle Delaune in this year’s recruiting class.
