Alex Pitman scored two touchdowns last Thursday to lead Mt. Juliet Christian to a 32-6 middle-school football win over visiting Holy Rosary at Suey Field.

Fullbacks Josh Jose and Andrew Kittrell each added a touchdown for the Saints.

Preston Sloan led the defense with five tackles while Noah Michael had an interception.

"This is a great start to the season," coach Mike Kittrell said. "I'm very proud of our guys and the effort and hard work that they have put in leading up to this game.

"Our offensive line did a very nice job of opening up holes for us to run through. These kids deserve this start. We just want to keep up the intensity."

Mt. Juliet Christian will try to keep it up Thursday when the Saints travel to Zion Christian in Columbia for a 6 p.m. kickoff.
