Allison Mahabir and Amanda Wall were a 1-2 punch host Sycamore couldn't withstand Tuesday as Mt. Juliet Christian won Heather Anderson's debut as coach 4-2.

Mahabir and Wall each scored twice with Mahabir assisting on Wall's scores and Wall adding an assist of her own.

The Lady Saints led 2-1 at halftime. Olivia Gonzales posted 15 saves for the winners.

"I was very proud of how my girls came together as a team to win a hard-fought game," Mt. Juliet Christian coach Heather Anderson said. "We only had 11 girls, so everyone had to play the entire 80 minutes.

"It was hot and Sycamore was a tough team. But we played our game, worked together and never gave up. The girls' hard work and determination really prevailed on the field."

Mt. Juliet Christian will travel to Nashville Christian on Thursday for a 4:30 p.m. match.
