Friendship beats Watertown, Mt. Juliet Christian in tri-match

MT. JULIET — Friendship Christian won a nine-hole tri-match against Watertown and Mt. Juliet Christian on Monday at Windtree.

The Commanders carded a 158 to Watertown's 198 and Mt. Juliet Christian's 201.

Bo Gwynne shot a 36 for Friendship while Sam Gatlin scored a 38 and Drew Porth and Austin Graves 42 apiece.

Brant Martin's 43 led Watertown. Cody Williamson finished with a 46, Taylor Lamberson 53 and Eli Beadle 56.

Alex Graves led Mt. Juliet Christian with a 43, followed by Wyatt Oberg's 51, Cole Gensler's 53 and Connor Presley's 54.

Watertown will be back at Windtree today for a 3:30 p.m. nine-hole match with Middle Tennessee Christian. Friendship, which improved to 6-1 in head-to-head matches, will face Mt. Juliet Christian again on Sept. 5 at Pine Creek.
