Lebanon swept at Portland

Watertown beats Ezell-Harding, falls to Trousdale MJCA rolls past Madison Academy

PORTLAND — Lebanon lost 25-15, 25-22, 25-23 to defending District 9-AAA champion Portland on Thursday night.

Alex Britt finished with 15 digs, three kills, three aces and an assist for Lebanon while Tatum Thompson totaled 21 assists, nine digs and three kills; Kelsey Yarbrough eight kills, five digs and a block and Bri Clemmons 13 kills.

Portland also took the junior-varsity match 23-25, 25-16, 15-11.

Brooke Pickler, whose sister Brittany is a former Lady Devil and Portland's current varsity coach, produced eight digs, five assists, two aces and a kill for Lebanon while Taylor Black supplied six digs, five assists, three aces and a kill; Erin Arnold eight digs, five kills and three aces and Whitney Hight three kills and three digs.

Lebanon will play host to district rival Station Camp on Monday. The freshmen will serve off at 4 p.m., the JV at 5 and the varsity at 6.

 

Watertown beats Ezell-Harding, falls to Trousdale

 

HARTSVILLE — Watertown swept Ezell-Harding 25-22, 25-21 and lost to host Trousdale County 25-15, 19-25, 26-24 Thursday.

Against Ezell-Harding, Paige Mock supplied six kills, six digs and two aces while Mary Holden had six kills, four aces and four digs; Katie Dalton four kills and an ace, Emily Gleason and Virginia Lea two aces and a kill apiece, Victoria Foster four digs and Brandie Hill a kill.

Against Trousdale County, Mock led Watertown with 13 digs, 12 kills and four aces while Lea supplied six digs, three kills and an ace; Holden five digs, four kills and an ace; Gleason four kills, four digs and two aces; Dalton a kill, an ace and a dig; Allison Bouton 13 digs, Foster eight digs, Hill a kill and Emily Woodson an ace.

 

MJCA rolls past Madison Academy

 

MADISON — Mt. Juliet Christian rolled to a 25-15, 25-14, 25-10 road triumph at Madison Academy on Thursday.

Lauren Wankel led the Lady Saints with nine kills and a block while Meredith Orr set up 17 assists, Peyton Raymer six digs and Morgan Adcock five aces as Mt. Juliet Christian climbed to 3-4 for the season.

"We played very consistent tonight, which helped us win," Mt. Juliet Christian coach Bridget Bass said.

MJCA will face McClain Christian on the road on Monday.
