GALLATIN — Friday was a disastrous night for Mt. Juliet at Station Camp as the Bison trampled the Golden Bears 41-3.

Making matters worse, Mt. Juliet lost quarterback Nolan Chowbay to a collarbone injury late in the first quarter.

With Chowbay gone, Station Camp scored 29 second-period points to widen a 6-0 lead to 35-0 as the Bison moved to 1-1 for the season and in District 9-AAA.

Station Camp's Kyle Anderton threw touchdown tosses of 67 and 8 yards to Josh Malone, one of the nation's top receiver prospects to caught five passes for 115 yards.

Anderton added a 1-yard touchdown run, set up by a blocked punt, and a two-point conversion.

Tre Malone scored on a 3-yard run early in the second quarter. Tony Zaffore returned an interception 36 yards to the end zone midway through the period.

Ty Chilcutt had Station Camp's second pick-six from 57 yards out in the fourth quarter.

Dustin Dubay's 41-yard field goal averted the shutout, but was too little too late to keep the Golden Bears from falling to 2-1 for the season and 1-1 in the district.

Mt. Juliet will return home but step out of district next Friday when Blackman comes to town for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
