MT. JULIET — Knoxville Webb broke open a close game Saturday with seven second-half goals in a 10-3 East-Middle District girls' soccer win over Mt. Juliet Christian.

The Lady Trojans led 3-2 at halftime before blowing the game open with a 7-1 second half. Caroline Cassity finished with four scores while Hannah Robinson and Carter Anderson each added two for Webb, which returned home 3-3.

Amanda Wall scored all three goals on three assists from Allison Mahabir and one from Marcella Gallione for the Lady Saints, who slipped to 2-2. Olivia Gonzales totaled 25 saves for MJCA.

"Overall, I was very proud of how the girls played," Mt. Juliet Christian coach Heather Anderson said. "Olivia Gonzales did an amazing job in goal with 25 saves and numerous other shots taken on her. Each and every game I see us improving and coming together as a team. Losing is never easy for any of us, but we can always learn from little mistakes and improve the next game. Most importantly, we are coming together as a team."

Mt. Juliet Christian will climb up Monteagle Mountain today for a 4:30 p.m. district match at St. Andrew's-Sewanee.
