Lebanon rolls past Hendersonville

Two-time state champion Friendshp Christian made fast work of visiting Mt. Juliet Christian 25-13, 25-11, 25-13 in East-Middle District volleyball Tuesday at the Bay Family Sportsplex.

Alex Sealy led the Lady Commanders with 13 kills and nine aces while Sam Finley finished with 12 kills, Kendall Tipton six aces, Morgan Vallett four kills, Savannah Robinson two kills and Alycia Long one.

On Monday, Mt. Juliet Christian emerged from Middle Tennessee Christian with a 25-11, 18-25, 25-19, 25-21 triumph in Murfreesboro.

Lauren Wankel led the Lady Saints with 12 kills, 12 digs and two blocks while Meredith Orr totaled 24 assists and April Bennett two aces.

"MTCS is always good competition," Mt. Juliet Chrstian coach Bridget Bass said. "We came out tonight and played tough."

Friendship will travel to Lebanon today for a 5:30 p.m. match.


Lebanon rolls past Hendersonville


Lebanon breezed past visiting Hendersonville 25-12, 25-14, 25-15 in District 9-AAA volleyball Tuesday night.

Alex Britt totaled 12 kills, 10 digs, four aces and a block for Lebanon while Tatum Thompson added 32 assists, six digs and two aces; Kelsey Yarbrough eight kills, three aces and a dig and Bri Clemmons 12 kills and a block as the Lady Devils improved to 14-6 for the season and 6-2 in the district.

Lebanon also swept the junior-varsity match 25-16, 25-8.

Taylor Black led Lebanon with five assists, three kills, two aces and two digs while Brooke Pickler finished with five assists, three kills and a dig; Caroline Osier three kills and a block and Kayla Rodrigues six aces.

On Monday, Lebanon swept a varsity match from visiting Trousdale County 25-11, 25-16, 25-17.

Alex Britt supplied six kills, three digs, two assists, two blocks and an ace for the Lady Devils while Tatum Thompson totaled 22 assist, three kills, three digs and a block; Veronica White eight digs, three aces and a kill; Nicole Painter six kills and two blocks and Bri Clemmons 11 kills.

Lebanon also won the junior-varsity match 25-11, 25-19.

Brooke Pickler supplied seven assists, four kills and three digs for the Lady Devils while Whitney Hight finished with four aces and three kills, Alyssa Hughes 10 digs and Caroline Osier three kills.

Lebanon will play host to Friendship Christian at 5:30 p.m. today in a varsity-only match before traveling to Wilson Central on Thursday for a 4 p.m. freshman match, 5 p.m. JV and 6 o'clock varsity.
