Mt. Juliet doubled up Lebanon 6-3 in District 9-AAA soccer Tuesday night as Riley Windling's two goals led a balanced Lady Bears attack.
The Lady Bears scored off Lady Devil deflection 30 seconds into the match. Nikki Blais connected in the seventh minute on a Julia Duggan assist.
Wendling scored on free kicks in the 12th minute for a 3-0 halftime lead and in the 35th minute of the second half.
The Lady Devils drew within 3-2 in the first seven minutes of the second half.
Nataya Wade turned the tide in the 20th minute on an assist by Savanah Collins. Brooklyn Butler booted a score in the 23rd minute on a Caitlin Bender assist.
Lebanon scored in the 28th minute.
Mt. Juliet outshot Lebanon 27-11 as Caroline Bringhurst had eight saves for the Lady Bears.
"We played decent in the first half, but Lebanon outplayed us in the first part of the second half," Mt. Juliet coach Ryan Hill said after his Lady Bears pulled even at 4-4 for the season and 3-3 in the district. "We let them back in the game with their two quick goals. We did manage to play a little better in the second part of the second half but we didn't play consistently throughout the game.
"Lebanon has improved a lot since last year. Coach [Kempess] Villifana has definitely made them better."
Mt. Juliet will next play at home against Hillwood at 6 p.m. Thursday.
