Highland Rim Speedway will hold a 100-lap Late Model Race Saturday night with at least $3,000 going to the winner and as much as $10,000 up for grabs in lap-leader money.
"We wanted to make the race even more competitive than ever," said Jerry Criswell, who owns and operates the historic Ridgetop track along with partner Roger Cunningham of Mt. Juliet.
The big payday is expected to lure drivers from several states, as well as such area favorites as Mark Day, Davey Coble, Mike Barrett and Ricky Sanford.
The Cumberland Track and Equipment Fall Classic 100 headlines a racing schedule that starts at 6 p.m.
