MT. JULIET — Donelson Christian jumped to a big first-half lead Tuesday en route to a 6-1 soccer victory over host Mt. Juliet Christian.

The Lady Wildcats led 5-1 at halftime. Emily Hicks had three goals and Misti Ray two for DCA, which improved to 5-2.

Allison Mahabir scored Mt. Juliet Christian’s only goal and Olivia Gonzales posted 10 saves as the Lady Saints fell to 4-5.

“This was a very emotional game for both sides, and I believe everyone did the best they could out there,” Mt. Juliet Christian coach Heather Anderson said. “We just need to keep our heads up and move forward.”
Mt. Juliet Christian will play host to local rival Friendship Christian at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
