Lebanon Jr.-Sr. Pro hoops signups Oct. 26
Signups for the City of Lebanon's Junior and Senior Pro Basketball League will be held from 9-11 a.m. Oct. 26 at the Harold Dean Greer Recreation Center in Baird Park. Pre-registration is available weekdays at the rec center from 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. [closed 11 a.m.-noon for lunch] or online at lebanoncitysports.com. The league is for boys and girls ages 6 through eighth-grade who live in Wilson County. An applicant must have turned 6 on or before Aug. 1 of this year and cannot be past eighth-grade. Seventh- and eighth-graders who are part of a junior high or junior-varsity team are not permitted to play. Applicants should bring a birth certificate and a $40 registration fee to signups. Hunters Point 2-Man 4-Way Oct. 5-6
The Hunters Point 2-Man 4-Way tournament is scheduled for Oct. 5-6. Entry fee is $200 per team, which includes green fees for practice round and both tourney rounds and cash prizes. Carts are not included. Format is Saturday: nine holes best ball, nine holes alternate shot; Sunday: nine holes worst ball, nine holes scramble. Sportsman's Club fish fry Oct. 12
The Wilson County Sportsman's Club, located at 38 N. Denny Road in Lebanon, will have its annual fish fry from 4-7 p.m. Oct. 12. Cost is $10 per person, or $5 for those 14-under. It is an all-you-can-eat fish with white beans, cole slaw, fries, hush puppies and tea. Proceeds will go to club projects. The public is invited.
