COOKEVILLE — Lebanon’s boys finished second behind Mark Britt’s victory and the girls third in the Burnett Invitational on Saturday.
Britt broke the tape in 17:14. Caleb Kawasaki was eighth in 18:51, Austin Montgomery ninth in 18:52, Deiontae Sullivan 12th in 19:21, Stephen Burns 14th in 19:31, Jeorge Sanchez 22nd in 20:24 and Cole Langford 24th in 20:40.
The Blue Devils finished with 44 points, trailing only host Cookeville’s 28.
Lebanon’s girls notched 92 points. Cookeville won with 26, followed by Macon County’s 50.
Caitlyn Strickland led the Lady Devils with a fourth-place finish in 22:10. Heather Allmond was 11th in 24:23, Chol Rambang 15th in 25:00, Maddie Martin 16th in 25:04, Pam Warden 18th in 25:27 and Allison Garner 23rd in 26:53.
Jacob Andrews finished fourth in the boys’ junior-varsity race in 21:10. James Jones was fifth in 21:16 and Ethan Carr sixth in 21:31.
Lebanon will next run in the Mid-State Championships on Saturday at Sharp Springs Park in Smyrna. The boys’ race will go off at 8:30 a.m., followed by the girls at 9:15 and the JV at 10.
