Mt. Juliet Christian proved Friday night it knows how to celebrate a homecoming.
Five different Saints scored touchdowns as they overpowered Pickett County, rolling to a 41-0 victory.
Mt. Juliet Christian (2-5) had its previous win come on the road at Oakdale, but this was a night at home like few others.
Andy Pitman led the rushing attack for the Saints, running in for two scores, part of a night where he ran 15 times for 74 yards. Alex Pitman added a 48-yard touchdown run, and Samuel Eastin had six carries for 39 yards, including a touchdown.
Quarterback Rik VanMali passed for 170 yards, completing 15 passes out of 33 attempts. He had a pair of touchdowns, throwing one to Zack Jones and another to Race McLean.
Jones caught three passes for 56 yards and McLean had five receptions for 30 yards.
But as impressive as the Saints' offense was, the defense might have been even better.
Mt. Juliet Christian held Pickett County to only 123 yards, and didn't allow any yardage passing.
Gilbert Russ had a sack for the Saints. Collin Keith and Dawson Perry added a fumble recovery apiece.
The Saints go on the road next week, playing a Thursday night game at The King's Academy.
