CLEVELAND, Tn. — Leah Fortune scored a goal and assisted on another, as Lee scored twice in the first 10 minutes in a 3-0 victory over No. 6 Cumberland in women’s soccer action Monday night.
The loss ended a 12-match unbeaten streak for the Bulldogs (13-2-1), a stretch in which the club had allowed just four total goals. Cumberland and Lee each took 12 shots in the first half, with three of CU’s on frame.
Fortune recorded her 10th goal of the year on an assist from Ode Fulutudilu in the 75th minute, putting the game away for the Flames, which outshot CU 8-1 in the second period.
Cumberland keeper Lindsay Kitson registered a pair of saves, while Lee’s Haley Gribler posted four saves in her sixth shutout of the season.
