Cumberland University soccer will take donations for the Eric Susewind Memorial Scholarship Fund when fans enter the gates of Lindsey Donnell Stadium-Kirk Field for this Saturday’s Mid-South Conference Championships quarterfinal match against Bluefield.

Susewind was an assistant coach at CU during the 2012 season and died in a car accident in June in Nashville. The Eric Susewind Memorial Scholarship Fund sponsors underprivileged children who wish to play club soccer but cannot afford to do so. The ultimate goal is to create an annual fundraising event in Eric's name to continue supporting the fund and its cause.

Cumberland University will collect the funds on Saturday and donate all of the collected monies directly to the Eric Susewind Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. for the Bulldogs and Rams, with the winner advancing to face either St. Catharine or Rio Grande at noon CST in the semifinals on Nov. 14 at Lindsey Wilson in Columbia, Ky.
