Senior Mackenzie Gass was the lone member of the Cumberland volleyball team to appear on the Mid-South Conference awards announced Thursday by conference officials in advance of the conference tournament that will begin today in Louisville, Ky.
Gass ranked third on the team with 224 kills while only playing in 26 matches on the season. The Collierville native was the top attacker on the squad boasting a .199 hit percentage, good enough for 20th in the MSC. Her 2.6 kills/set ranked 11th in the conference. Gass also recorded 48 digs and 12 total blocks on the season.
This marks the second straight season Gass has appeared on the Mid-South all-conference awards, grabbing honorable mention accolades last season.
The Bulldogs will square off against top-seeded Lindsey Wilson in the quarterfinals of the Mid-South Conference Championships at 11 a.m. today.
