Both Central bowling teams ranked in top 4

Wilson Central’s girls are ranked second and the boys fourth in a ranking of Tennessee high school bowling teams compiled by Lou Giacobbi, who has launched a website dedicated to the sport.

The Lady Wildcats are 17-1 and trail only 13-0 Hardin County in the top-10. Mt. Juliet is No. 7 with a 13-2 mark.

In the boys’ rating, Central is 15-3, trailing No. 1 Siegel [11-1], No. 2 Smyrna [11-3] and No. 3 Hendersonville [14-5]. Lebanon is No. 9 at 9-3.

Giacobbi has also compiled the top-20 known individual averages and posted them on tennesseebowling.weebly.com

Mt. Juliet’s Hanna Hayes is sixth in the girls’ list with a 190.76 average. Teammate Jessica Giacobbi is ninth at 183.02. Central’s Nicole Bailey is 15th at 174.65.

On the boys’ side, Central’s Kyle Hubbuch is seventh at 212.18. Friendship Christian’s Donny Turner is 11th at 210.2, followed right behind by Mt. Juliet’s Matt Gudlin with a 209.24.
