Cumberland’s Beth Morgan, Kaitlin Phillips and Michelle Ward were all named NAIA Daktronics women’s soccer Scholar-Athletes on Friday by the national office.

Student-athletes must be a junior or senior academically and maintain a 3.50 grade-point-average or better to be eligible for the award.

Morgan, a junior from Manchester, carries a 3.65 grade-point average in psychology, while junior Kaitlin Phillips, an Edmonton, Alberta, native, has a 3.81 in health and human performance. Ward, a senior from St. John’s, Newfoundland, owns a 3.75 GPA in psychology

A total of 507 student-athletes were honored from around the nation.

Cumberland’s Ian Hamilton and Luke Wilson were named NAIA Daktronics men’s soccer Scholar-Athletes on Friday by the national office.

Student-athletes must be a junior or senior academically and maintain a 3.50 grade-point-average or better to be eligible for the award.

Hamilton, a junior from West Chester, Ohio, carries a 3.65 grade-point average in nursing while Wilson, a senior from Birmingham, England, has a 3.54 in business.

A total of 355 student-athletes were honored from around the nation.

Four Volleydawgs tabbed NAIA Scholar-Athletes

 

Cumberland’s Karli Collins, Mackenzie Gass, Meghan Gass and Jenna Pavan were all named NAIA Daktronics volleyball Scholar-Athletes on Friday by the national office.

Student-athletes must be a junior or senior academically and maintain a 3.50 grade-point-average or better to be eligible for the award.

Senior sisters Mackenzie and Meghan Gass each appeared on the list for the second straight season. Both from Collierville, Mackenzie recorded a 3.54 in health and human performance, and Meghan posted a 3.74 in sports management.

Collins, a junior athletic training major from Tarpon Springs, Fla., recorded a 3.89 GPA, and Pavan, a junior from Parkersburg, W. Va., earned a 3.94 in business management.
