West Wilson drops close pair at Rock Springs

SMYRNA — Rock Springs won a pair of close contests against visiting West Wilson on Tuesday night.

The Lady Knights prevailed 28-25 before the Golden Knights won 48-45 in overtime.

Rock Springs’ girls led 18-15 at halftime.

Kyra Wilder tossed in 12 points for Rock Springs.

Taylor Tucker threw in 13 for West Wilson while Bailey Kaposy and Connor Coward each collected three and Sarah Harmon, Kenadhi Killebrew and Dottie Mack two apiece.

Rock Springs’ boys led 22-14 at halftime before West Wilson surged in front 30-27 going into the fourth. The teams were tied 40-40 at the end of regulation.

Maxwell Iyonna’s 11 points and Tanner Antonetti’s 10 led Rock Springs.

Gavin Johnson’s 21 points paced West Wilson. Jeffrey Crawford scored six, Dalton King five, Dennis Stallings and Nathaneil Perez four each and Brian Aiken and Kyzic Schweppe two apiece.

West Wilson will next travel to Southside next Tuesday
