MJCA middle boys finish second in GMAC

HENDERSONVILLE — Mt. Juliet Christian’s middle-school boys finished second in the Greater Nashville Athletic Conference standings with a 35-32 win at Merrol Hyde on Wednesday.

The Saints led 10-7 following the first quarter, 18-14 at halftime and 23-22 through three before edging the Hawks to go to 10-8 for the season and 8-4 in the GNAC.

Josh Jose’s 15 points led Mt. Juliet Christian while Alex Pitman put in 10. Caylor Bates bagged a pair of three-pointers for his six while Noah Michael managed three and Cole Alsup a free throw.

Grayson Lang led Merrol Hyde with 15 points.

The Saints will close their regular season tonight at Carroll-Oakland with the girls tipping off at 6 p.m.
