GLADEVILLE — Macon County’s girls wore out host Wilson Central 8-1 and the boys shut out the Wildcats 9-0 in high school tennis Friday.
Singles winners for the Lady Tigers were Brandy Green over Kansas Glasgow 6-2, 6-2; Roselle Dorero over Michela Micco 6-0, 6-1; Macy Riddle over Lani Lee 8-4, Elizabeth Hartley over Jackie Anderson 8-0 and Kellie Dizon over Rebecca Glenn 9-7.
Doubles winners were Green and Dorero over Glasgow and Lee 8-4, Dizon and Hartley over Micco and Anderson 8-1 and Riddle and Abby Kepley over Glenn and Hallie Wolfe 8-2.
Central’s only win came from Wolfe over Kepley 8-6.
In exhibition matches, Macon’s Elizabeth Alero beat Lucia Hurtado 8-1 but lost to Jennifer Beckham 8-2.
In the boys’ match, Tiger singles winners were John Griffith over Nathaniel Dennison 8-0, Jacob Harbin over Zack Baker 8-1, Dalton McCathron over Paden Robertson 8-5, Justin Frazier over Chase McElfresh 8-2, Austin Smith over Houston Wood 8-2 and Ethan Reed over Reece Gaddes 8-1.
Doubles wines were Griffith and McCathron over Dennison and Baker 8-2, Harbin and Frazier over Robertson and McElfresh 8-4 and Smith and Reid over Gaddes and Wood 8-4.
Central did win a number of exhibition matches, including Max Rahmani over Joey Roberts 8-2, Sean Moran over Grant Gammons 8-4, Peyton Muncy over Jacob Sewell 8-3, Jake Lamie over Scott Coaster 8-1, Bo Jackson over Joey Roberts 8-2 and Brandon Leach over Sewell 7-5.
Central will play host to Stewarts Creek at 4 p.m. Monday.
