GLADEVILLE — Wilson Central’s girls defeated visiting Stewarts Creek 8-1 in high school tennis action Monday.

Stewarts Creek’s boys prevailed 6-3.

Singles winners for the Lady Wildcats were Kansas Glasgow over Taylor Stewart 8-4, Lani Lee over Caitlin Schabacker 8-4, Jackie Anderson over Emily Joiner 8-6, Rebecca Glenn over Alicia Coleman 8-4 and Hallie Wolfe over Katie Whetstone 8-2.

Doubles winners were Glasgow and Lee over Stewart and Alyssa Watson 8-1, Anderson and Michela Micco over Schabacker and Joiner 8-4 and Glenn and Wolfe over Coleman and Whetstone 8-5 as the Lady Wildcats won for the first time this season in three matches.

The only winner for first-year Stewarts Creek was Watson over Micco 8-3.

In exhibition play, Central’s Lucia Hurtado won 8-2 and Jennifer Beckham prevailed 6-2. Fatima Rivzi and Hannah Pryer won their doubles match 6-2.

In the boys’ match, Red Hawk winners were Luis Estrada over Zack Baker 8-2, Clay Chaffins over Paden Robertson 8-5, Matt Seiber over Chase McElfresh 8-3 and Spencer Hill over Houston Wood 8-4.

Doubles winners were Estrada and Spencer Snider over Baker and Nathaniel Dennison 8-6 and Chaffins and Seiber over Robertson and McElfresh 8-3.

Wildcat winners were Dennison over Snider 8-6, Reece Gaddes over Tyler Groom 8-5 and Gaddes and Wood over Hill and Groom 8-4.

In exhibition action, Central’s Max Rahmani won 8-2, Sean Moran prevailed 6-2, Peyton Muncy triumphed 6-2, Jake Lamie won 6-0 and Brandon Leach came out on top 6-4. Bo Jackson and Houston Woods lost their doubles match 6-4.

Central will play host to McClain Christian at 3:30 p.m. today.
