Cumberland’s baseball schedule for this weekend’s games at Lindsey Wilson has been altered because of forecasted inclement weather, with the contests now scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at Egnew Park in Columbia, Ky.
The Bulldogs and Blue Raiders will play a single game at 4 p.m. on Saturday and then a doubleheader beginning at noon on Sunday. Forecasts call for an 80 percent chance of rain on Friday, with rain continuing into Saturday morning, before skies clear for the rest of the weekend.
Cumberland enters the weekend 22-13 overall, 6-6 in Mid-South Conference play but three games behind conference leader Georgetown College, which the Bulldogs defeated 2-of-3 games on the road the first weekend of league play. Lindsey Wilson is 18-16 overall, 7-5 in MSC action, after sweeping Pikeville on the road last weekend.
After this weekend the Bulldogs play 12 of their final 16 games of the season at Ernest L. Stockton Field-Woody Hunt Stadium beginning Tuesday against Bethel University.
