Lebanon boys get four firsts, Strickland sets girls’ record

Strickland finished fourth in the 3,200, but first in the LHS record book in 13:01.

CLARKSVILLE —Caitlyn Strickland set a new Lebanon girls’ record in the 3,200-meter run while the boys picked up four first-place performances in the Austin Peay Govs’ High School Classic at West Creek on Saturday.

Strickland finished fourth in the 3,200, but first in the LHS record book in 13:01.

On the boys’ side, Lebanon’s Colton Thomas won the shot put, Kadarian Garnett the triple jump, Mark Britt the 1,600-meter run and Anthony Reeves the 3,200.

Lebanon’s girls finished ninth as a team and the boys third. The Blue Devils picked up 112 points. Centennial won with 148, just ahead of West Creeks’ 146.
