LAVERGNE — LaVergne answered Lebanon’s two-run innings with four-spots in a 10-4 high school baseball victory Friday night.
Lebanon answered LaVergne’s two-run first inning with a pair in the top of the second. But the Wolverines came back with four in the bottom half. After the Blue Devils drew to within 6-4 with two in the top of the sixth, the home team got four more in the bottom half as the visitors left town 8-11 for the season.
Mitchell Lovell drove in four LaVergne runs on three hits, including a double. Alex Gunn doubled and knocked in two scores.
Dawson Hamilton doubled as he and three of the Blue Devils’ nine hits. Connor Harris had two RBI as he and Eddie McDaniels each had a pair of hits.
Hamilton allowed nine of LaVergne’s 10 hits in 5 2/3 innings to take the loss.
Lebanon will travel to Winchester’s Gambel Stadium today for a 2:30 p.m. game at Franklin County.
