Friendship Christian did its damage early in an 8-1 Senior Night win over Macon County on Wednesday.

The Lady Commanders put up four-spots in each of the first two innings and had the last of their 11 hits in the third.

But that was plenty for Tana Whited, who scattered three hits, a walk and a third-inning run while striking out seven as the Lady Commanders climbed to 24-10 for the season.

Brooke Eakes singled in the Friendship first inning and scored on Jordan Burton’s double. Kelsi Dickey then drilled her fifth home run of the season over the left-field fence. Singles by Brice Dabbs and Kaylee Davenport wrapped up the opening-inning scoring.

Burton and Dickey singled in the second and scored on Whited’s double to left-center field. Dabbs delivered an RBI double and Brittany Petry a run-scoring single.

Whited had her second hit in the third inning.

Petry, a four-year starting catcher, and left-fielder Sarah Hall were honored as Friendship’s seniors.

FCS will travel to Crump Paris Park in South Carthage today to take on Gordonsville at 5 p.m.
