Five CU golfers named MSC Scholar-Athletes

Student-athletes must be a sophomore, junior or senior academically and maintain a 3.25 grade-point-average or above

BARDSTOWN, Ky. – Five Cumberland golfers – Quincy Hogan, Katie Legge, Kayla Smith, Jeremy Goodman and Austin Garrett – were named Mid-South Conference Scholar-Athletes this week by the league office during the conference tournament.

Student-athletes must be a sophomore, junior or senior academically and maintain a 3.25 grade-point-average or above to be eligible for the award.

Hogan, a sophomore from Carrollton, Ky., carries a 3.89 GPA in child growth & learning, while Legge, a junior from Portland, has a 3.51 in management and Smith, a senior from Greenbrier, owns a 3.89, also in management.

Goodman, a senior from Gallatin, has a 3.67 GPA in computer analytics & infomatics, and Garrett, a senior from Smithville, carries a 3.69 in business administration.

A total of 18 women and 22 men's players were honored by the conference during the league tournament at Bardstown Country Club at Maywood.
