GLADEVILLE — Wilson Central’s beat McClain Christian 8-1 and the girls prevailed 9-0 Friday to end the regular season.
Singles winners for the Wildcats were Nathaniel Dennison over Evan Tubb 9-8 [7-3 in the tiebreaker], Zack Baker over Jon Whitener 8-4, Paden Robertson over Richard Bouton 8-1, Reece Gaddes over Sam Sturgeon 8-2 and Chase McElfresh over Jansen Carver 8-1.
Doubles winners were Dennison and Baker over Tubb and Whitener 8-3, Robertson and McElfresh over Bouton and Will Norton 8-2 and Gaddes and Max Rahmani over Sturgeon and Carver 8-0.
Norton notched McClain’s win 8-3 over Rahmani.
In exhibition matches, Central’s Sean Moran beat Eli McFadden 6-1, Brandon Leach edged Carver 8-6 and Jake Lamie rolled past McFadden 6-1.
Singles winners for the Lady Wildcats were Kansas Glasgow over Victoria Walker 8-0, Michela Micco over Elena Bingham 8-4, Lani Lee over Madeline Walker 8-0, Jackie Anderson over Madlyn Davis 8-4, Rebecca Glenn over Jillian Williams 8-0 and Hallie Wolfe over Corinne Dodson 8-0.
Doubles winners were Glasgow and lee over Bingham and Victoria Walker 8-1, Micco and Anderson over Davis and Madeline Walker 8-2 and Glenn and Wolfe over Williams and Dodson 8-0.
In exhibition play, Jennifer Beckham beat Renee Boyer 6-3 and Lucia Hurtado shut out Williams 6-0.
Central, along with Lebanon and Mt. Juliet, will open the District 9-AAA individual tournament Tuesday at Hendersonville’s Drakes Creek Park. Singles will serve off at noon with doubles to follow at 1 p.m. The tourney has been backed up a day due to a stormy weather forecast for Monday.
