If the weather cooperates by Wednesday as expected, the District 9-AAA softball tournament will get underway at home sites.
Lebanon, the No. 3 seed from the South Division, will visit North No. 2 Station Camp at 6 p.m. Wilson Central, the South No. 1, will play host to Portland at the same hour. Mt. Juliet lost a tiebreaker to drop to the No. 2 seed in the South and will play host to Hendersonville at 5 p.m.
Win or lose, all eight teams will congregate on Station Camp with Wednesday losers playing in elimination games at 5 and 7 p.m. Thursday and the winners 24 hours later.
Lebanon and Central are in the same bracket and, should they do the same thing Wednesday, would meet at 5 p.m. Thursday or Friday. Mt. Juliet will face Gallatin or Beech at 7 p.m. Thursday or Friday.
Loser’s bracket action will continue Monday. The finals are set for next Wednesday with the “if necessary” game Thursday. The top two finishers will advance to the Region 5-AAA tournament May 12.
