Mt. Juliet’s soccer team won three times in eight days this past week with the District 9-AAA tournament coming up.
The Golden Bears began with a 3-2 overtime win over Gallatin.
Colbe Earles scored the winner with a back-heel kick off a Landon Bauder corner kick two minutes into the overtime.
Cameron Woodfin scored the other goals with Earles adding an assist. Dylan Cole got the win in goal.
Mt. Juliet followed with a 2-1 win over Wilson Central.
The Golden Bears scored early when David Siever when split the defense and Woodfin was taken down in the box for a penalty kick, which Woodfin drilled for a 1-0 lead.
In the second half, Bauder threaded the ball through the defense and Woodfin sliced a shot past Central’s keeper.
The Wildcats roared back when Isaac King was fouled in the box and Houston Comer connected on the penalty kick to cut the margin in half with three minutes left.
Woodfin scored the lone goal in a 1-0 win over Lebanon on a long throw-in by Siever. Cole posted the shutout in goal.
Mt. Juliet finished 5-2 in district play while Lebanon went 3-4.
