BARDSTOWN, Ky. — Cumberland’s Jeremy Goodman was voted the Mid-South Conference Men’s Golf Champions of Character Award winner during the conference tournament at the end of April.

Goodman is a three-year member of the Cumberland golf team and is an Army veteran. He has been a member of the Dean’s List all six semesters he has attended CU. The Gallatin native is a member of Gamma Beta Phi and Phi Beta Lambda honor societies and will graduate today with a 3.67 grade-point-average in computer analytics and infomatics. He also chartered the Cumberland chapter of the Student Veterans of America.

Goodman played 19 career rounds over three semesters for the Bulldogs before an injury sidelined him in 2013-14. He served as an assistant coach this season for Cumberland during practices and events.

Each Mid-South Conference institution nominates one student-athlete per sport for the Champions of Character Award and the athletic directors from each school vote to determine that sport’s winner.
