Lebanon's Scott Duncan and son Brady won the USA BASSIN Next Generation tournament on Old Hickory Lake.

 

Tournament winners: Lebanon's Scott Duncan and son Brady, 11, won the inaugural USA BASSIN Next Generation Youth Tournament Trail event on Old Hickory Lake, finishing first in a field of nine teams.

The Bradys landed 13.59 pounds of bass, including a 4.8-pounder.

The nine teams caught a total of 64.86 pounds of bass.

Another Lebanon team, Joshua and Lucas Haskins, came in third with 10.77 pounds.

The tournaments are open to youngsters 18 and under, and each must be accompanied by an adult angler.

Trap shoot: Jason Moore won a shoot-off with Kyle Goke in the Cedar City Gun Club's weekly track shoot, after both shot 49's in regulation.

Don Gipson won Class B with a score of 42.

Youth fishing: The TWRA has a number of youth fishing events scheduled around the state. Some of the events coincide with the June 7 Free Fishing Day, while others will be held on into the summer.

The list of events is posted on the TWRA website (tnwildlife.org), and the list will be periodically updated as new events are added.

Interscholastic shooting: An interscholastic trap-shooting team for Wilson County  youngsters is being organized. The team, which will be known as the Cedar City Straights, is open to youngsters age nine through high school, and will compete in state, regional and national competitions.

Training will be held at the Cedar City Gun Club. For information call Ben Schade at 615-478-8019.
