Malherbe wins on TGA Jr. Tour

ROCKVALE — Mt. Juliet’s Lise Malherbe won the TGA Junior Tour girls’ 16-18 masters division Friday at Champions Run Golf Course.

Malherbe shot a 76, knocking down 38s on each nine to win by three strokes.

COOKEVILLE — Nine Wilson County golfers were at Cookeville Golf Club for the TGA Junior Tour on Friday.

Watertown’s Brant Martin finished in a tie for second place in the boys’ 16-18 tour with a 79, three strokes off the pace. Lebanon’s Cody Fredericks knocked down a 98 and Drew Porth, also of Lebanon, turned in a 103.

Mt. Juliet’s Sam Gatlin finished second in the boys’ 16-18 masters with a 73, four strokes off the pace.

Alec Harper of Mt. Juliet was fourth in the boys’ 10-13 tour with a 41 over nine holes, also four strokes back.

In the girls’ 12-18 tour, Lebanon’s Caroline Hendrick notched a 93, Kristen Fredericks a 101, Hannah Roberts 102 and Mt. Juliet’s Carley Mitchell a 118.
