Watertown’s Martin wins on TGA Junior Tour

COOKEVILLE — Watertown’s Brant Martin won the boys’ 16-18 tour by one stroke on the TGA Junior Tour last Thursday with a 79 at White Plains Golf Club.

Mt. Juliet’s Lise Malherbe finished second in the girls’ 16-18 masters with an 84, two strokes back.

Sam Gatlin of Mt. Juliet was third in the boys’ 16-18 masters with a 77.

Blain Turner of Mt. Juliet finished fourth in the boys’ 13-15 masters with an 86.

Lebanon’s Kristen Fredericks was fourth in the girls’ 12-18 tour with a 103, followed by Hannah Roberts, also of Lebanon, who carded a 118.

Mt. Juliet’s Jack Gold tied for sixth place in the boys’ 10-13 tour with a 51 over nine holes.

At Smyrna Municipal

SMYRNA — Lebanon’s Anna Leigh Cleveland finished second and Kristen Fredericks third in the girls’ 12-18 tour of the TGA Junior Tour on Monday at Smyrna Municipal Golf Course.

Cleveland carded a 90 while Fredericks, also from Lebanon, notched a 97.

In the boys’ 16-18 tour, Lebanon’s J.C. McDearman tied for third place with a 78, two strokes back. Lebanon’s Charlie Booher II finished in a fifth-place tie with a 79. Watertown’s Martin turned in an 84.
